Our first pop up event took place at Redcroft last week! The Land Girls, who previously starred on TV’s ‘THE VOICE,’ wowed us all with their entertaining performance and fabulous voices as they sung their hearts out to Great British tunes. A variety of percussion instruments were played by staff and residents of Apple House and Redcroft care homes as well as dancing and a great deal of Union Jack flag waving in tempo! It’s the time of year for our influenza vaccinations and, as Director of Operations, I am right there in line to get mine done and know that I will have the vaccination to protect me from flu this year. Once again I booked my appointment at Boots and it was great to have the same person giving me my vaccination as last year. We went through the health check first and then I signed the consent form. We’re feeling festive – yes, I know. It’s too early. We’ve only just had Halloween and Bonfire Night. We don’t care!
