Macmillan Coffee Morning…

On September 25th, all three homes will be participating in a nationwide initiative by Macmillan Cancer charity to hold the world’s biggest coffee morning ever!  Families, professionals and friends are invited to join the fun (by prior arrangement) and we hope to raise as much as possible for this worthwhile cause.  Our organisation will match any donations that our events raise on the day. …

Always giving EGGSTRA…

Our new hens have arrived at Redcroft!  For the past five years, residents have enjoyed caring for their chickens, collecting daily fresh eggs and baking delicious cakes. Clearly Summerwood think hen-keeping is all WHITE, as they SHELL now be welcoming their own chooks (sorry about the bad yolks!) in a colourful new henhouse, which was hand made in conjunction with a project for local young people who are facing difficult times in their lives.  We were thrilled to support their initiative and the resulting hen house is fabulous! …

We’re excited to be working in partnership with Nourish care systems in that we will soon be running a trial of their electronic care management system at Redcroft.  We will work closely with the multi-disciplinary teams, residents and their families and advocates, to ensure that all parties are fully involved in the process.
