Alzheimers Research Uk…

Apple House care homes are proud supporters of local and national charities.  We are delighted to now be supporting Alzheimers Research Uk. Typical early symptoms of Alzheimer’s include: Regularly forgetting recent events, names and faces. Becoming increasingly repetitive. Regularly misplacing items or putting them in odd places. We advocate the profound benefits of pets visiting our homes.  We are delighted, therefore, to now receive regular visits from dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits and now owls too. Residents have a hoot at Redcroft…

Overall, it was an owling success! Birds of prey have for hundreds of years been a source of interest and wonder, but most of us rarely have the opportunity to get up close and personal with them.  Connecting with nature, in the way that this visit enabled, in our view offers an experience that is therapeutic, educational and most of all fun! …
